iCCup TV has acquired two great casters to help us start our coverage of the RTS Dawn of War 2, DoW2 is known for its exciting game play as it creates basically constant skirmishing throughout the match. There is very rarely a lull in the action and this makes it very fun to watch once you figure out how the game itself works. iCCup TV is excited to bring in the first of hopefully many more games to be broadcast on our growing esports television channel. The first DoW2 event will be starting on May 29th, a 32 player tournament hosted by us and casted by our two new members, Lord Lokgar and ViS.
Lord Lokgar as he is known in Dawn of War 2 is a high level player of the game himself and is currently enrolled in a high profile alienware tournament which some of his fellow DoW2 casters agreed that he has a very good chance to win the entire thing. He is a member of the team Dragon Alliance that competes in the ESL Major Series. He will hopefully bring a high level of understanding to the game to help new viewers learn how the game works very quickly.
ViS is according to Lokgar “British, suave and a cheery chap, who likes tea and crumpets.” But after getting a little bit more serious he goes on to say that ViS played the first Dawn of War quite a bit and was rather popular. ViS is a member of the team SMM – Swedish Milk Maidens, when asked about this name Lokgar says it was originally a joke but the team actually meshed well together so they just kept playing together and do a lot of team games.
So join iCCup Television as we welcome our two newest casters and the new game we will be hosting a tournament this 29th to celebrate the start of casting for this new game. The tournament will be broadcast on our ustream channel (www.ustream.tv/channel/iccup-tv). For the Dawn of War 2 players reading this if you are interested in joining in the tournament just leave your GFWL in the comments and we’ll start gathering players.
Format
— 32 players 1on1, single elimination, best of 3 rounds
— No TS minimums for now because of the reset
— Default maps for each round will be announced but the map pool will be: Green tooth gorge, Swift Frontier, Leviathan Hive, and Calderis Refinery.
— Each round will have a default map for the first game then loser will pick the next map from any of the maps in the pool.
— All replays must be saved in case of disputes or protests in the cases of disconnects or other issues
Prizes
— First place will receive an autographed DoW2 poster and DoW2 T-shirt, 2nd place will receive a DoW2 t-shirt

— First 3 Rounds: Saturday May 29th Noon EST, 6PM CEST
— Semi Finals & Finals: Sunday May 30th Noon EST, 6PM CEST
— Round 3 delayed until Sunday May 30th starting at Noon EST, 6PM CEST
