Too hard to tell what could happen now - personally I think too many wc3 players will move to SC2 to be able to keep the scene as strong as it is. Don't know if it will die, though, especially because there is also dota.
As for the lot of pros, I hope it is competitive across all nations as wc3 is, with top players coming from most continents instead of just Korea, but I am betting there will be more good Korean players than non-Koreans even though the top skill level for each country/continent will be roughly equivalent. I think SC pros will do better initially, as SC is probably better conditioning for SC2 and they will be payed a lot right from the start in Korea I imagine, wc3 players should still make a splash though ;)

Wc3 is always exist, but SC1 will disapear sooner or later :)
GO Warcraft3 though, greatest game on this planet, so far even better then SC2 imo

I think SC1 has a higher chance of surivival than WC3 TBH. There is diehard fans who would never switch to SC2 coming from both sides, so meh.

i believe SC2 will pull a counterstrike source and the pros will go back to SC, as well as the majority of SC players. As for WC3 players... who cares.

Warcraft is different from starcraft series.I think most of wc3 players try sc2 but they will eventually turrn back to wc3.

as the release date for SC2 gets closer and closer ,I constantly ponder over how Wc3 will fair once the much anticipated SC2 drops like bombs over baghdad. Will Wc3 ceases to exist and virtually disappear over night like vampires ( best i can come up with lol ) or will Wc3 endure and mature like a fine wine as did SC? As the recent state of Wc3 I feel like its going to be curtain calls for the medieval rts we all came to love , and the rise of orcs in space will once again reign supreme. this is going to be an exciting moment if the pros of Wc3 merge with the Pros of SC . who wil come out on top ?
